Equitary Dashboard

About: A dashboard design for Equitary, an AI due diligence platform built to streamline private capital investing. The dashboard serves as the visual home for their AI model, giving investors an easy way to input data and view key insights.

Problem: Private capital due diligence is typically slow and fragmented, spread across scattered reports and manual review. Equitary's AI model could simplify this, but needed a clear, tailored interface where investors could actually input data and make sense of the output. My task was to visualize that system for the backend team.

Role

UI/UX developer for Equitary, responsible for designing the dashboard interface that visualized their AI model's input and output for investors. Also took on brand design work beyond the original scope, redesigning the company's logo and overall brand image.

Analysis & Structuring: Started by auditing Equitary's existing site, which functioned mainly as an informational landing page rather than an actual product experience. From there, mapped out the structure needed for a real dashboard system: a home page, an onboarding flow, and the core product pages investors would actually use. This shifted the project from simply describing what Equitary does to building the interface where users could engage with the AI model directly, streamlining the path from landing page to functional dashboard.

Wireframing: Began by sketching layouts on pen and paper, then translated them into FigJam to present and iterate with the design and development teams, checking that the structure was logistically sound and identifying what needed to be displayed versus what didn't. Through this process, we settled on three core inputs: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, with outputs covering revenue and revenue growth, gross profit, total expenses, EBITDA, long-term debt, and quick ratio. Wireframing focused on mapping out the simplest possible interaction flow for users to move from input to output.

Figma Development:

Logo Design: Outside the original scope, the team asked if I'd take on a logo redesign to match the platform's new direction, since changing how customers experienced the product called for a new visual identity to match. We landed on something simple, tech- and finance-forward, built around directional arrow imagery and a blue colour scheme to feel sharp and trustworthy. The final logo was designed to adapt across dark themes, print, and social media iconography.

Dashboard:

Users log in via a subscription-based account and land on the main dashboard, with a persistent job list on the left and the working area on the right. Creating a new job prompts four inputs, three Excel uploads (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) plus a thesis text box, with an upload progress indicator confirming each file. Once submitted, the dashboard displays results: revenue and revenue growth, gross profit, total expenses, EBITDA, long-term debt, and quick ratio.

Outcome:

After roughly two months of iteration and client approval, the final deliverables, Figma files for the dashboard, logo assets in SVG format, and a brief style guide covering both the logo and dashboard, were handed off to the development team to begin implementation.
